Healthy plants in your garden

We have collected our four summer favorites that you can use together our superfoods for a good and healthy start to the day. Taking part in healthy plants is an important part of a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Red clover

Red clover is a perennial plant that belongs to the pea family. It usually grows in our gardens, meadows, pastures or along the roads. Red clover has become incredibly popular as a dietary supplement and is very nutritious:

  • Contains isoflavones, which is an estrogen-like hormone that can help alleviate some symptoms of menopause.
  • May help maintain a reduced risk of osteoporosis.
  • Rich in antioxidants, which can help the cells in inflammation.

Feel free to use together with our superfood Hormone Harmony in a smoothie, to contribute to normal hormone levels, calm and focus.

Lavender

Lavender is a plant in the Lamiaceae family, and is known for its purple color. You can find lavender all over the world, and is often used in beauty, relaxation and nutritional supplements. Lavender has a number potential benefits:

  • The scent of lavender can help reduce anxiety, stress and sleep problems. For example, many people use lavender oil for relaxation.
  • Can also contribute to reducing muscle and joint pain.
  • You who suffer from headaches, especially migraines, can use lavender oil in the temples as a way to contribute to the relief of headaches.

Feel free to use together with our superfood Magic Mind in a smoothie, to contribute to normal focus and memory. Remember that Lavender has a very strong taste, so be sparing in your smoothie. A teaspoon is usually enough.

Dandelions

Dandelions are a plant species that belongs to the Asteraceac family, and are found in large parts of the world. Many consider the plant mostly a weed, but dandelions can contribute to several health benefits. The whole plant is edible but can be a bit bitter. Tip is to start with the leaves or flower buds:

  • Dandelion naturally contains vitamins A, B, C and the minerals potassium, iron and zinc. Including dandelion leaves in your diet can contribute to a normal immune system.
  • Said to have anti-inflammatory properties and has been used to reduce joint pain, inflammation and eczema.
  • Dandelion roast should, among other things, contribute to normal digestion and liver health.

Feel free to use together with our superfood Health Haven in a smoothie, for a balanced immune system.

Lemon balm

Lemon balm is an herb that belongs to the mint family, its scientific name is Melissa officinalis. The herb has a mild lemon scent and taste. It is said to have calming and relaxing properties, including:

  • Contributes to reduced stress and anxiety due to its calming effects and natural substances.
  • Helps with improved sleep
  • Can also relieve indigestion and a swollen stomach

Use together with Belly Boost in a smoothie, to maintain good intestinal health.

When using these plants, it is worth noting that the effects may vary between individuals and please consult a doctor if you know you are allergic to certain herbs/plants before using them.
